PRESSAbout Mickey Thomas' Over the Edge:I heard the Mickey Thomas album and there's great playing and nice tunes. Roberto got a strong playing and great feel I'm lookin' forward for a solo CD. CARL VERHEYEN (Solo Artist, Supertramp, Cher, Bee Gees etc.) ..."Eyes wide open" is a classic ballad in Journey style, with a very emotional vocal line. Neal Schon spoil us with an amazing guitar solo... (The reviewer didn't read the liner notes which are spotting me as the soloist of the song.... I take it as a great compliment!) CATHOUSE.IT Reviewer: Mauro "I don't read the liner notes" Guarnieri About James Christian's Meet the man:I will surely keep Roberto in mind for the future projects as he did an excellent job on Meet the man. I will also let other people know about him JAMES CHRISTIAN (Singer of the project and singer for House of Lords &Eyes) ..playing and production are strong, especially Roberto Vanni's guitar playing which is excellent... KAZ HIROSE 80 Points (BURRN! Japan Music Magazine) ...the album is a well crafted and balanced melodic American hard rock ... Roberto Vanni' solo palying, who has joined as guitarist is melodic and very excellent. JUN KAWAI (YOUNG GUITAR Japan Guitar Magazine) Roberto, you played great, keep on playing like this! FABRIZIO V.ZEE GROSSI (Producer, Steve Vai, Cypress Hill, Mickey Thomas, James Christian, Steve Lukather, Tommy Funderburk etc.) ..."Know you in the dark is one track that has been floating around for years and is nicely done here. Features some nice lead guitar from Roberto Vanni MELODICROCK.COM Ratings: 89% - Songs: 92% - Sound: 86% About Tommy Funderburk's Anything for you:..."To say you love me" starts off where you would think your listening a slow ballad. That's a big no, what your listening to, is a more a less a modern day faster paced ballad, not a power ballad but still a very catchy song. Love the guitar solo which really ties the song toghether... ..."Second chance" this intro reminded me a lot Eddie Van Halen when he was in his prime. Not to overshadowing the opening and really set the tone of the song... This song is one that basically showcases the guitar and i must say it impressed me very much, as most of you know, we here at the island love guitars... SHIPWRECKISLANDSTUDIOS.COM Reviewer: Tony |
